Why is it difficult for most Board members to engage in fundraising? We will discuss the tools to shift the conversation and focus on new ideas and outcomes.  

Sonia Saleh is the founder of Uplifting Nonprofits, translating her mission to bring mastery of fundraising to nonprofits.  Known for her program, Unleash Your Inner Fundraiser, accessing new thinking with brain science while cultivating their own personal style to attract and build relationships to benefit their organizations.  Sonia helps her clients double their fundraising results while becoming comfortable and confident in their own voice when asking for donations.  She also provides leadership training and coaching to nonprofit leadership and support staff focusing on grassroots organizations with operating budgets ranging from $100k to $10M, helping them meet and exceed their revenue goals.

Community Needs Assessment for Program Planning

Developing a community needs assessment to support your organization’s planning process. Why do a community needs assessment? What should be included in a community needs assessment? How often should one do a community needs assessment? We’ll provide an overview of the various aspects of the community needs assessment and offer resources to help your organization tackle this important part of your program planning process. 

Emmanuelle Jarmon, principal of Jarmon Consulting,  has more than 15 years' experience conducting community assessments and assisting nonprofits with program evaluations to help inform program planning.  Core competencies include primary and secondary data research, survey design, data collection and analysis, grant writing, logic modeling and evaluation methodology. Emmanuelle has worked with range of nonprofits and organizations focused on early childhood education, youth services, refugee resettlement, and affordable housing.
